Gordon Thane, BMSc, MPH, PMP® graduated from Western University’s MPH program in 2019 and is currently a Program Coordinator at a Health Unit in Ontario, Canada. Gordon recently received Health Promotion Ontario’s Lori Chow Memorial Award in 2021 for his leadership and advocacy related to anti-Black racism, focus on equity in programming, incredible innovation in health promotion, and dedication to mentoring students and early career professionals.

Leshawn Benedict, MPH, MSc, PMP® graduated from Western University’s MPH program in 2019 and is a Community Manager for a Global Health Community of Practice with over 250 members across 35 countries, focusing on Neglected Tropical Disease programs. He currently sits as a Steering Committee member for the Canadian Association for Global Health MentorNet, a Canadian-wide program that connects students and early career professionals with mentors to foster future global health leaders.

Bindra Shah, BMSc, MPH graduated from McMaster University’s MPH program in 2019 and is currently a Person-Centred Care Specialist at Ontario Health, where she plays an active role collaborating with regional partners to develop system-level programs and advance the quality of patient care province-wide. She currently sits as a Steering Committee member for the Canadian Association for Global Health MentorNet.
